What's good
- Ships with Navionics coastal and inland charts, which cover all six lakes properly out of the box
- 9-inch screen is big enough to split sonar and chart and still read both at 25 mph
- GT56 transducer gives usable CHIRP down to and past 200 feet, which Superior and Michigan need
- Quickdraw Contours lets you build your own bathymetry over reefs the charts get wrong
What isn't
- The included transducer is transom-mount and cavitates badly above roughly 30 mph
- Side imaging is close to useless past 60 feet of depth, so on deep lakes it is a shallow-water tool
- Screen washes out badly with polarized glasses in portrait orientation
